The Bucy sugar refinery-distillery carries out seasonal sugar production and pulp drying activities; all year round, it also carries out industrial sugar packaging and alcohol production activities.
The site employs 176 permanent staff, as well as 60 seasonal staff during the sugar beet campaign. The sugar refinery-distillery processes the sugar beet produced on 22,500 hectares cultivated by 620 cooperative growers from the Picardy region. Its average sourcing radius is 32 km.
